Government consent needed to close nurseries

Parents have now discovered that the law on education says the decision to close the nurseries will need the consent of the Scottish Government, because the nurseries are more than 80% full. This has already been raised by parents but Glasgow City Council officers denied it was the case.

Meet at 1330hrs, outside Nithsdale Road Nursery. 
We will walk the 1.5 mile route along Nithsdale Road to the Pollokshields Primary School Annexe on Melville Street. 
En route, we will join forces with the Newark Drive Nursery supporters to complete the final distance to Melville Street.
